Last round
Going into the challenge, I was really anxious. I wanted to win. I don't want to lose everything and for the other tribe to sit pretty and never have any blood on their hands. They MUST go tribal, even if it's at least just once. When we kicked off, Liz is doing good, Wardog is doing good, everyone's just putting on their best performance. Then all of a sudden. Here comes number six. You could hear the crickets. No one were moving. Me and Stephanie just glanced at each other, and we both said at the same time 'Huh, who is number six'. And I realize this was Laura. And in my head I'M like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. No way we losing, and on top of that, Laura causing that loss. OH MY GOD NOOOOOOOOO. Then she finally started. I wiped all that sweat on my forehead, and we put ourselves on first gear.
Winning the challenge was SUCH a relief. Oh.my.god. WE HAD to win this. We really had to !! I'm so happy I'm just going to take some vacation on the island. I think everyone's gonna do that. I think everyone is exhausted, this game is going at a fast-pace, so this win was like, good, I'm taking a break from the game for a moment because we know we're back into this tomorrow.
1- The first Veteran to leave the game since the mandatory first council. Is the playing field leveling out and becoming a true competition?
It is something that I was expecting. Nothing surprising here. I just can't wait to check up on Aurora to make sure she was ok with this vote. I don't know if Hannah going was good for her game over there or not. I would have liked to see Tai go because it appeared he was most against Aurora, but only Aurora will tell if she feels okay right now. I don't want her to go just yet.
2- Your first challenge win! Are things starting to look up for Te Poto?
Oh, I guess I just answered.
3- Does tonight's boot change your long term plan or solidify it? Are you willing to work with anyone in this game? Have you reached out to the people outside of your current alliances, kept your options open?
When it comes to keeping options opened, yes, I do, but that doesn't mean I must absolutely cut deals with everyone left and right. When you do that, you can get yourself caught the hand in the cookie jar. And I don't want to be this person. Just to give you an example, everytime I ran back to Liz with an information, turns out she already knew about it. ;) You know what that means. I mean, maybe I can trust her, sure, but it also tells me that down the road, she could potentially become a major jury threat if she can get away with it without blood on her hands. So she better get her hands dirty too.
At the moment, I feel like my alliance of four is enough. I think I can maneuver through the alliances of others if I'm keeping an eye on who are working with whom... Aurora is a really strong option I consider working with come a swap or merge. Even though I didn't cut any deals or anything with Wardog, Jed or Stephanie, I'm still keeping social interactions with them on a daily basis, because either a) i will have to work with them down the road - and hopefully i won't have to switch anything up im not a flip flopper unless it's needed b) once they go home I want some jury management. / Of course you need some game talk with them too, and that's why I make sure to highlight I'm on the same page as them when it comes to Missy. Well, I didn't talk too much about it with Steph because I was not sure how tight she is to Missy, but I know for a fact that Wardog really is pissed at Missy. And if that's a vote we can make happen without using the alliance numbers, then it's a good move in my book.
4 - What intel has your partner given you about the other tribe, and who would you like to work with on it going forward?
For now, I don't think her position in her tribe is strong enough to provide any juicy information that could be meaningful to my game here. We've shared our clues to try and find this idol, but it's actually difficult, and maybe it was found already.
