A SWAP
Only 3 days in and it's time to shake things up! You survived our first vote and have a brand new tribe to get to know before our first immunity challenge.
1-Talk to us about your swap tribe. Who are you excited to see? Who were you upset to lose?
2-Talk us through tribal tonight. What was your ultimate reason for your vote?
3-Now that the tribes are mixed, are you planning on staying strong with your original tribe? or do you think it's time for you to find new allies?
4-What are your thoughts on the partner twist? How do you plan to utilize your cross tribal communication?
Good Luck! It only gets harder from here!
1. I think I got pretty lucky with this swap! Matt, Michael, and Shamar were the people I felt best about aside from Elizabeth, so I'm feeling good. And with Sherri (who I was in an alliance with) + Reynold, we have a majority should we choose to stay loyal to our old tribe. But I know that's pretty boring for viewers, and the Te Poto (is that right? lol) people we swapped with all seem pretty great--I think we lucked out and all the crazies stayed on the other tribe. I was really only upset to lose Elizabeth, but she's my partner, so it's nice that we can still chat and also feed each other info. I'm feeling a lot better about Michael now. I actually don't think this swap could have worked out much better for me.
2. So, I definitely was not leading the charge for an Erik boot. I liked him a lot and I definitely would have preferred to see someone like Laura, Allie, Reynold, or Brandon go more. Even Hope I probably would have preferred. But Erik not being online most of the weekend + throwing Elizabeth's name out as an option because "she's new," did not do him any favors and ultimately sealed his fate. It really was between him and Hope, and then Hope signed on and charmed everyone + asked me, Matt, Liz, and Shamar for an alliance, and then that solidified Erik as the vote. Also I after my lil' snafu in the tribe chat, I kinda just wanted to double down on what was happening. I think Erik appreciated my honesty, because he gave me five coins and I don't believe Shamar or Michael received any from him (yet they thought they were in with him).
3. Right now I plan to stay loyal to my original tribe, but of course the partnerships and maybe someone's desire to save their partner's allies may muddy the waters a bit over here. I will say I already really like Rocker and Stephannie, and Aurora seems pretty cool too. Haven't gotten much out of Hannah or Tai yet. If we did have to target someone from my OG tribe, I'd prob settle on Reynold because I've connected with him the least out of the folks over here, though he is a really sweet guy and pleasant to talk to. But I'm not going to be too pushy this early. I would just like to win immunity. :)
4. I like the partner twist. I already trusted Elizabeth, but I get the sense that she may have ranked Shamar above me, so it feels good to have something formally solidified with her that provides incentive for her to stick with me. And it's also great to get intel about what's going on across tribal lines. Michael approached me about sharing who our partners are--I was hesitant at first, but he told me he was more committed to working with me than his own partner (who knows if that's true) so I felt sort of obligated to tell him, otherwise it would have been sketch. He was very relieved. And he told me he's with Jessica (which Elizabeth also told me she learned from Jessica), so this actually worked out very well, since I believe Elizabeth said she was hoping to work with Jessica.
Excited to see what's to come. You guys definitely know how to keep us on our toes!
