Feb 2nd: Eddie gone!? Is this all just a bad dream, or am I nude with Richard Hatch!?

It is unfortunate that Eddie, the ESL king himself, has sadly departed. With an idol too, no less! But at least it gave us this iconic Brandon confessional afterwards because the latter was saved, God bless.

Speaking of Brandon... drinking game: Take a shot everytime he doesn't know how to use an image tag or youtube tagging. My lord, I am so WAITING for him to try and whisper. If you thought Karishma, Liz, or Jessica was bad, imagine what he might say accidentally! Jed got lucky today by not spilling vital information during his mishap at tribal.

Speaking of Brandon again... he calls Reynold "Ronald" so often that I have to call him that now. Do you remember BBCAN4, when Nikki kept pronouncing Raul's name as "Rail" and then that became his name for the feedsters? That's me with this whole thing. Ronald is in!

Speaking of Brandon again again... remember how I said him and Rocker would have the most potential for chaos in a partner duo? Well in comes Shamwow and Hotdog- now, they're not totally crazy in personality, but they are at almost opposite ends of the game when it comes to their allies, who they want to work with, who they want to target, and especially, how they feel about each other. I think other people realize this too, and it only makes things more interesting because Wardog found the half of the partner hidden idol, and Shamar wants to purposely not get the other half of the idol. It will become a whole saga to watch, for sure.

... I don't really have much else to say about other people. I reckon that will come in the morning and afternoon once action picks up again. I'm looking at IMs for some information, but I'm mostly commenting based on confessionals, and so far it has been bleak.

Who will the targets be for the next tribal council? For Buckaroo, there could be a vet vote out, maybe Hannah or Aurora. Not sure who I'd prefer to go, but if there is any sort of newbie paranoia that starts up, then those two are definitely in danger. For Teapot, I'm not as sure. Maybe it wouldn't be Brandon, but I don't think he can keep swimming by and live on forever. I'm sure most people would agree, both players and lurkers, that we would all be shocked if Brandon made the jury phase (not including being brought along as a goat by someone else).

Wow, Brandon's really on my mind a lot at the moment. I guess since we lost Eddie, we don't have a ton of "big characters" left for newbies, and I guess that's where my thoughts are focused right now. *shrug*

Gotta aim higher than silver  ask and you'll receive more.

It'll be more fun I think if Pukaroa loses the challenge tonight, since it could be either Hannah or Aurora as the vote, and isn't totally clearcut on who it is, unlike how Brandon might be for certain the vote on the other tribe. Plus, it will be fun to watch the vets on the Teapot tribe freak out that Pukaroa sent home one of those two and not Tai or whoever it is the vets are trying to get their partners to vote for on the salmon orange coloured tribe. If Teapot loses though, then we lose all of that potential and we lose Country Christian Boy. Darkest timeline.

Feb 3rd: Darkest Timeline Confirmed...

We must have a send-off to our favourite Christian Country Boy. God bless :-)

It truly sucks that Te Poto lost the challenge, since Brandon was clear-cut to go. Not sure why he was the absolute ultimate target at the end of the day, since they still could have kept him around. He was pretty harmless. Guess they just couldn't handle a devout Christian like Brandon in the game anymore. It was so darn gone terrible. Jed and 1N especially on the shitlist for what they said with their votes, but it's fine, they'll get their dues soon enough. Imagine Brandon being the FF for this season? Actually, to go against the Church for a second, I don't think that will happen, but I mean crazier things have happened, so who knows. We have a lot of great pre-jurors already let alone people who are still in the game. Actually...

Why is it that we lost four amazing guys, back to back!? What is this androcide!?

ImageImageImageImage

If I wasn't lazy (and Erik didn't have long hair to deal with in photoshop) I'd make them as a barbershop quartet right now. You know what? Fuck it, let's do it.

Image
The Tuamotus First Four, Stranded's own barbershop quartet, on their first studio album. Featuring such hits such as:
"Saturday is for Sledding"
"Left my Heart and my Vote in Missysippi"
"Play That Idol Honey!"
and a special adaptation of "Carry me Jesus"

Anyway, here are my current thoughts on the positions of the tribes now.

For Pukaroa, it's still mostly the same shit as yesterday. Which I didn't comment on much about; I'll just plug everyone else's blogs since they did more analysis probably. Or go look at the Google Doc. But essentially, Hannah is the main target here, with possibly Aurora as well, although the latter has a couple more people willing to go to bat for her. Especially after seeing Brandon being voted out, they'd all be stupid to try and go after someone like Tai (even if he is a vet) just because their partners on the other tribe said so. They'd want to prevent a major steamroll from happening. It's only 3/4 newbies so far, but still, you never want that snowball to get out of control too fast. Some vets realize this, like Liz, who want to go after a vet.

For Te Poto, well shit. This is where things might get interesting. Laura, Hope, and Allie are the newbies leftover, and I think they're safe since they're the only ones left. There is finally talk about Missy gaining traction to be a boot. However, everyone knows how much Liz wants Missy out, and a couple days ago Michael made a good point about what her game and goal is once Missy is out of the game... you never like the unknown. Some may want to keep Missy around as a shield. Not to mention, this tribe also has 1N on it, Steph Dull, who is likely a good candidate also for being the next target. She just happened to get the other half of the idol... Wardog is an idiot (tbh, more like he is just very unlucky that Shamwow is his partner). Sherri had the Puke half, and since Dull got the Teapot half, they did a DGZ fusion dance to form the Partner Hidden Idol. That idol might be used as early as right the fuck now, especially once Steph catches wind that she has a high chance of being the target. That said, would anyone else know that she has the idol and can use it? Not to mention, who would Steph target? Don't quote me but I think she wants to keep Missy around so there'd be at least one other target besides those two, and I am not wasting time looking thru her shit to find out who it is because frankly I don't care about her. So, all of a sudden things could get pretty interesting on Te Poto, now that nobody can hide behind a Brandon vote.

So random thoughts about individuals now.

Missy who the fuck knows. Brandon tries to make small talk, and Missy goes and shit talks him immediately. Omg, is that how I was with Aaron talking about Alison :crine: like fucking Missy and Brandon have a total of 4 IMs between each other, with Brandon sending 3/4 messages.

I'm really sad about the loss of the Brandon and Rocker duo, since that could have been really intense and hilarious if they made it far. 2 roommate sitcom kind of deal. But Brandon left early, and Rocker is actually not as... quirky, as he is on the main server, so he appears a bit more normal than regular. He is still on the outs nonetheless. But I don't think he'll be a target anytime soon.

Jed is a fucking boring-ass person. Even if he plays well, it is an entire snoozefest to see. Jed is so boring that I bet his pubes look exactly like Stephen Harper's weave. I'll mention one more time: boring. At least with someone like Wardog, he can add flavour to his confessionals and with the way he carries himself, so when he's an asshole, it's entertaining. When Jed tries to be an asshole... he's just an asshole.

Speaking of Wardog, I keep going back and forth on him character-wise. Sometimes he's funny as fuck, and sometimes I can't stand when I see an update from him. One confessional will be a hilarious observation, and the other will have him being more rude and/or he refers to himself as "The WarDog" which no no no we're not doing that 3rd person bullshit here. I don't know if the IRL Wardog talks like that, but bitch you're your own person, don't imitate tomfoolery. And if the IRL person doesn't do it and this is all you, then that's even worse. Stop it. Get some help.

Laura and Hope seem to be coming together to overcome adversity, so that's something to look towards. Not sure where Allie stands with them but they might be able to unite if they tried. Depends how they want Te Poto vets to see Allie as.

Ronald said "these people are on some major pussy juice rn" and I lost my shit. He's gonna hang with the douchebros after this for sure.

A lot of the salmon-coloured Puke tribe newbies show potential, but I'm already seeing some cracks with almost all of them. Things that could make them tick. I want to see these boundaries be pushed, but I don't think those will come right away, and we will have to wait a while for that to happen. Definitely am looking forward to it.

Anyway, Jed was on Morocco? No wonder he left an odd taste in my mouth. I think he's someone that can make the merge though and I don't think he'd get screwed over too easily.

Part of me is going back and forth on who I want to go to tribal tonight. Te Poto would be super messy, but Pukaroa is starting to get a bit stagnant. They need to be shaken up a little bit.

Feb 4th: Listening to 90's Pokemon OST and Stranded in Tuamotus late night ramblings

Boring generic title because I couldn't think of anything, my creative part of my brain already went to bed before I did. Plus it's a literal description of what's going down as I write this all out. Next time I'll pick out something good that a player did. I need some good episode titles for DDDD. I gotta hold myself to a higher standard. But anyway.

So Hannah left. Let me tell you something; I was NOT expecting Missy of all people to pop off. Folks, in several hours when normal people wake up in EST, I bet you Missy is going to do some massive moaning about, trying to figure out why it happened and planning revenge schemes against Tai. She is crazy as all fuck. And you know, I would hate it if she ever met Tai on another tribe again because she has the most intense hate boner for him, and he really doesn't deserve any of her shit. I do hope for the best for him.

The word "coward" is used incorrectly so often, almost as much as "toxic"; Missy's favourite word. Also is one word that can describe her well. So it is rather curious she attempts to call others cowardly. How people standing up for themselves and not doing what the vets on another tribe tell them to do, is considered cowardly, is far beyond me. Tai is not some huge mega threat or anything either. Let me just say, the only thing I hate more than nasty bitches, is the butchering of adjectives in the English language, and Missy checks both of those boxes off. Stay mad cheater. If Nofo ever had the misguided judgement to cast that thing on Isolated and gave it Nikki Fucking Grahame as the alias, I'd leave the server and not come back. That creature wishes it was as iconic as Nikki, but it ain't worth anything even close to her bowel movements.

Image
I'm reclaiming Nikki from it. This is too much of an injustice.

I swear, it will be people like Missy that make me root 100% for the newbies and praise the downfall of any and all vets. I assume this happens in any fan vs favourite season really, where the vets think they are above the rest and should have newbies bow down to them essentially. If this is the case, then I'm finally starting to see why it is common for newbies to win. Not to mention they're just generally better players in Tuamotus than most vets here are. I bet an "okay" newbie strategist from Tuamotus would dominate in Tanzania.

It isn't just vets on Teapot who are outraged, of course. There is Allie as well, for example. Others like Jessica have come forward to express no satisfaction to Hannah leaving in their confessionals. Tomorrow will definitely be an exchange of words between sides, trying to figure out what happened. My immediate prediction is that things will get even more spicy if Pukaroa loses again, and Tai still does not go home (because there is no way that will really happen for the next round). That will be something to watch for the ages, and if these salty people try to come for Tai in a harsh way, I'll have no choice but to protect him. He needn't false slander.

At the same time, I feel like Tai isn't doing a whole lot in the game to help himself. Maybe this is intentional however and to lay low. But personally, I feel he should maybe try to explore some more things. I'm not sure that he has a solid #1, and again, personally that is something I would feel vulnerable without. Especially since Tai claims he feels close with Matt, and Matt says in return that he feels wary of Tai. My prediction is that he is going to be a late pre-juror or an early merge juror for being a safe vote. Although who knows, he could claim 3rd place again as a goat being brought to the end. He's a mystery for a lot of us newer-to-the-server lurkers, so we're very eager for any Tai news that is positive.

To try to say something positive, Sherri wants to try and keep Ronald around because he sounds loyal. Ronald really is gonna be Aaron 2.0 isn't he? He can join :pop: anytime he wants. Sherri herself though, is interesting. I didn't find her super interesting Day 1, but every passing day she gets more likeable. Whereas for me, even Michael and Alexis have had tiny hiccups here and there for me in terms of their status to root for, but Sherri only keeps rising for me. I'm really looking forward to what she brings to the table over the following days.

You know, a lot of lurkers are going on about how people like Liz and Missy are totally discounting the newbies, and when you connect the dots, it is pretty easy to see. A lot of the newbies are pulling the strings. Most newbies comment about Tai not having much vet connections, so they want to pull him in, but a lot of Teapot vets are looking at this as Tai leading some devious plan to get their innocent friend Hannah out and then to control the game and get them out next. Bruh, he's a non-factor, no offence to him. So, today could be the start of actions that vets take that will shift most public opinion to rooting for newbies over the vets, whether old fan favourites or not.

I feel for Matt, since his partner Missy is going to HOUND his ass when he wakes up to get direct tea about what happened. It should leave Matt alone and just focus on not trying to fuck up another challenge.

Also... not Michael telling Hannah, a host and player of a couple seasons, to not play ORGs like this lmfao. I mean he makes a point in what he says about her, but I don't think that was the main thing impeding Hannah for Tuamotus.

I feel as though me liking Rocker's post about not feeling well today gives him a vibe that I'm glad he's having a tough day as opposed to me "sending thoughts and prayers" in like form.

Kind of similar to Facebook back in the day when someone is like "my dad just died :(" and everyone liked that.

It might be a little! If we lose again tonight and Aurora goes home (assuming we stay in these groups again before the next challenge) then I think it'll be even more competitive.
Oh man, I hope Aurora really leaves now, so that Mrs. “I’m just not a big fan of African countries” can have a freakout and then leave.

Feb 5th: What does "swapfucked" mean again?

Steph was the one who left us on the Teapot tribe. With her gone, now the odds are even again in terms of newbies VS veterans. 9 vets 9 newbies, now on new tribes of 5/4 and 4/5. Just how many swaps will there be!? It is crazy how the swap allowed for such diversity still with newbies/veterans, and that only two sets of partners got on the same tribe together, and even then, it is 1 per tribe. This really is a cool swap. I suspect it will be the last until the merge happens. Right now it is F18, and for Tanzania, we had a jury of 9 (supposed to be 11 but thanks to the ReMoVaL sCaNdAl-) at F14, so I suspect around then will be the case for Tuamotus as well. Not to mention that lines up well with the schedule planned.

For the next couple of days, things will be much more quiet as challenges and tribal councils aren't happening. Hopefully we get some good conversations, strategies, and confessionals in the meantime at least. Even through all of that, have no fear! DDDD will still be coming to you live to bring you any coverage of any sort, but not coverage of the skin by indredulous clothing!

So for right now, let's take a look at the new tribes:

Pukaroa 4: This tribe is pretty fluid. It has a complex web of partners and duos on it. Jed and Ronald are the only two actual partners, and their behaviour might make them closer since I could see both of them to play up different kinds of asshole villains together. Sherri now has the idol and can use it like a regular idol. The fact that it ends at F14 makes me think it is a pre-merge only idol. I don't think she is in any real danger, but she could use it on someone else for a big move, and that may happen considering that on this tribe, almost everyone has at least one other main target and another person defending them. Who could be in danger? Wardog might, but it depends on how Liz and Jed want to handle things from here on out. Not to mention Hotdog seems pissed about the Steph vote so we'll see what side of him is about to come out on this tribe. One thing that I'll be watching close is how Liz continues to maintain these social bonds and rule with an iron fist. She might want to target Stephannie since there is perception that she is close with Tai. I'm not sure if she also knows that Laura is close to Tai or not, but if she does, then that might spell doom for her. Matt is in a great position on this tribe, since I see many people excited to have him on. Actually, he's probably in the second-best position in this tribe after Sherri. However, if people that he wants to work with end up on opposing sides of a vote, he'll have to choose. Allie is one of those people who look forward to seeing him.

Oh fuck me, I read Laura's newest confessional for her Ep 6 thread, and she's slowly starting to decorrupt me. The way she writes and carries herself is so... jovial yet innocently endearing. I hate it.
Image

Te Poto 4: Now this is an interesting tribe. What are some immediate connections? Missy for one thing is interesting to talk about since it has Aurora beside it now who was coveted a lot after the Hannah vote. On the opposite spectrum is Tai, so he is somebody who could be in trouble since Missy really wants him out, but luckily for him, this tribe has 4 newbies, so 4+Tai means there is a majority that are unlikely to vote him out, since at first glance, most wouldn't want to target Tai as a first option. In fact, an interesting trio of Tai/Laura/Hope could blossom, and the 3 other vets of Missy, Jessica, and Aurora could all very much be in trouble. Rocker remains invisible, for better or worse. But he did mention he'd want Tai out. Not to mention if we address the elephant in the room, regarding how Jess and Rocker got close game-wise... anyway, that might be one thing that makes Rocker vote with Jess, who might vote with Missy. If this tribe goes to TC and they vote out Aurora, Missy will become a banshee to those who voted for her and will be untolerable. Missy will easily become the biggest target on the tribe afterwards (assuming it leaves after Aurora does and that Missy isn't the biggest target currently). Jessica then has a choice after a Missy bitchfest; to stick with that creature or not. Things could easily go south for her and if her tribe goes to TC too many times before merge, she may find herself leaving in a similar place to Tanzania, and this time she can't hide behind the excuse of getting swapfucked as a reason to being voted out. If Michael and Alexis don't try to snuff each other out and try to work together super close before merge, then they could be the men behind the curtain on this tribe and control what goes down. Not gonna lie I haven't kept up with a lot of Shamar, but I think he's relatively safe as well for the time being. Not to mention, a good chunk of what I know comes from confessionals. I keep up with IMs and I read them live, or a couple 1 on 1 convos, but I never scroll back, so players like Shamwow are hard for people like me to comment on since he writes minimal confessionals and I don't see others talk about him as much in their confessionals. Having said everything, I expect some newbies to be a little more fluid as well, and not remain a total 100% monolithic voting block for the duration of the rest of pre-merge.

Is the Superbowl really worth making the challenge go up now? Smh go shove the football in your ass.

But I can't believe it, this challenge is back.

I-M-M-U-N-I-T-M

I bet you Jessica will shit herself with trauma when she sees it, if she hasn't already.

As for the idol clue, of course Missy went sniffing out for one. It says treat so I'm thinking it's a Polynesian drink or fruit or snack of some sort. Wonder if it can also get this idol with only one clue, but anyway. Michael is also on the hunt for the Teapot idol. Both big game players, we'll see what will happen. Allie is so far the only one on the Puke tribe who is looking for their idol, so it'll be interesting if her first dibs mean anything. But that clue seems more vague at first glance than the other clue, so who knows.

Plus I'm sure that when more people wake up tomorrow, they might take the clue. It'll be interesting to see if anyone tries to split the clue cost and try and solve it together as well, since that was done quite a bit on Tanzania.

Feb 6th: Lazy Saturday

So this weekend so far has been more calming, and most people remain in their IMs as opposed to their confessionals. A couple more people bought idol clues, but none have figured it out yet. I was planning on wasting Feb 6th's entry for memes about every person remaining, but I even procrastinated on making that. So... not much to report on, really.

Tai remains the target on Salmon Pink, and on Forest Green there's been a few suggested, but then here comes Missy de facto quitting. Maybe this is the true removal scandal it was talking about? Still, I'm not sure if the rest of the tribe will grant Missy an exit, or try another.

I really enjoyed reading Michael's confessional. I love me a good backstory. Builds up that lore I crave.
