Feb 5th: What does "swapfucked" mean again?
Steph was the one who left us on the Teapot tribe. With her gone, now the odds are even again in terms of newbies VS veterans. 9 vets 9 newbies, now on new tribes of 5/4 and 4/5. Just how many swaps will there be!? It is crazy how the swap allowed for such diversity still with newbies/veterans, and that only two sets of partners got on the same tribe together, and even then, it is 1 per tribe. This really is a cool swap. I suspect it will be the last until the merge happens. Right now it is F18, and for Tanzania, we had a jury of 9 (supposed to be 11 but thanks to the ReMoVaL sCaNdAl-) at F14, so I suspect around then will be the case for Tuamotus as well. Not to mention that lines up well with the schedule planned.
For the next couple of days, things will be much more quiet as challenges and tribal councils aren't happening. Hopefully we get some good conversations, strategies, and confessionals in the meantime at least. Even through all of that, have no fear! DDDD will still be coming to you live to bring you any coverage of any sort, but not coverage of the skin by indredulous clothing!
So for right now, let's take a look at the new tribes:
Pukaroa 4: This tribe is pretty fluid. It has a complex web of partners and duos on it.
Jed and
Ronald are the only two
actual partners, and their behaviour might make them closer since I could see both of them to play up different kinds of asshole villains together.
Sherri now has the idol and can use it like a regular idol. The fact that it ends at F14 makes me think it is a pre-merge only idol. I don't think she is in any real danger, but she could use it on someone else for a big move, and that may happen considering that on this tribe, almost everyone has at least one other main target and another person defending them. Who could be in danger?
Wardog might, but it depends on how
Liz and Jed want to handle things from here on out. Not to mention Hotdog seems pissed about the Steph vote so we'll see what side of him is about to come out on this tribe. One thing that I'll be watching close is how Liz continues to maintain these social bonds and rule with an iron fist. She might want to target
Stephannie since there is perception that she is close with Tai. I'm not sure if she also knows that
Laura is close to Tai or not, but if she does, then that might spell doom for her.
Matt is in a great position on this tribe, since I see many people excited to have him on. Actually, he's probably in the second-best position in this tribe after Sherri. However, if people that he wants to work with end up on opposing sides of a vote, he'll have to choose.
Allie is one of those people who look forward to seeing him.
Oh fuck me, I read Laura's newest confessional for her Ep 6 thread, and she's slowly starting to decorrupt me. The way she writes and carries herself is so... jovial yet innocently endearing. I hate it.
Te Poto 4: Now this is an interesting tribe. What are some immediate connections?
Missy for one thing is interesting to talk about since it has
Aurora beside it now who was coveted a lot after the Hannah vote. On the opposite spectrum is
Tai, so he is somebody who could be in trouble since Missy really wants him out, but luckily for him, this tribe has 4 newbies, so 4+Tai means there is a majority that are unlikely to vote him out, since at first glance, most wouldn't want to target Tai as a first option. In fact, an interesting trio of Tai/Laura/
Hope could blossom, and the 3 other vets of Missy,
Jessica, and Aurora could all very much be in trouble.
Rocker remains invisible, for better or worse. But he did mention he'd want Tai out. Not to mention if we address the elephant in the room, regarding
how Jess and Rocker got close game-wise... anyway, that might be one thing that makes Rocker vote with Jess, who might vote with Missy. If this tribe goes to TC and they vote out Aurora, Missy will become a banshee to those who voted for her and will be untolerable. Missy will easily become the biggest target on the tribe afterwards (assuming it leaves after Aurora does and that Missy isn't the biggest target currently). Jessica then has a choice after a Missy bitchfest; to stick with that creature or not. Things could easily go south for her and if her tribe goes to TC too many times before merge, she may find herself leaving in a similar place to Tanzania, and this time she can't hide behind the excuse of getting swapfucked as a reason to being voted out. If
Michael and
Alexis don't try to snuff each other out and try to work together super close before merge, then they could be the men behind the curtain on this tribe and control what goes down. Not gonna lie I haven't kept up with a lot of
Shamar, but I think he's relatively safe as well for the time being. Not to mention, a good chunk of what I know comes from confessionals. I keep up with IMs and I read them live, or a couple 1 on 1 convos, but I never scroll back, so players like Shamwow are hard for people like me to comment on since he writes minimal confessionals and I don't see others talk about him as much in their confessionals. Having said everything, I expect some newbies to be a little more fluid as well, and not remain a total 100% monolithic voting block for the duration of the rest of pre-merge.
