Wait, who put ME in charge?!
So yesterday was pretty interesting. It started with Matt revealing that his partner was Missy, and Alexis (separately) revealing that her partner was Liz. Which at the time, was a bit worrisome. Since as far as I knew, Liz and Missy hated each other.
Turns out, maybe they don't anymore. Matt said that Liz and Missy had been able to bury the hatchet a bit, while Liz was always playing up the feud between the two of them because she knew I was listening to the podcasts. There is a bit more reason why I think this.
Jessica is my partner and is close with Liz, that is something I knew going into the season, as they are premerge Tanzania. But Jessica is quickly trying to force me to save Aurora and demanding that Tai goes out. Meanwhile, Missy is telling Matt that Tai needs to go.
That's just too fishy that Missy, Jessica, and Liz would ALL agree with Tai being the target. and I am not really happy with how pushy Jessica can be with me. I'm not her puppet. I'm her partner. If she is going to treat me like she can just push me around I really don't have to listen to her.
So I felt a bit over trying to play telephone with Alexis and Matt and decided that a three way chat was the way to go. I think all three of us are strong together and we need to remember that we have agency here. But really quickly, it turns out that I may have A LOT more agency than I originally thought.
Reynold came to me out of a bit of desperation, feeling like he wasn't attached to anyone. I told him that I really liked him, but was always a bit intimidated that he had some alliance going already. I knew that he didn't. But I wanted to make it seem like I was the shy wallflower that was scared to approach him, when really I didn't have too much invested interest. But at this point, his stock is really rising for me. I told him that I'd love to work with him and Sherri and Matt (the names he brought up) and brought up the possibility of including Alexis. Shamar really being the only one not included..
Meanwhile, Aurora is now grabbing onto me because Jessica told Allie (Aurora's Partner) to contact me. I told Aurora that I'd be able to save her and switch the vote to Hannah. Hannah has just a terrible social game. She came over in the minority, she didn't start conversations, and she's just falling flat with all of us and giving us nothing to work with. I really don't mean to just go off on her, she's just not really suited for the adaptability you need.
Sherri, Reynold, Matt, Myself, Alexis, Stephannie, and Aurora were prepared to vote out Hannah if we lost immunity. We won and I know that Hannah went for the idol. along with me and almost everyone else. It was crazy to see that everyone was relying on ME for the vote. Even though we ended up not going to tribal, it was nice to feel a bit of power.
My goal is to bond with Stephannie today and prepare for a split vote between Rocker and Hannah somehow. While I like Rocker more, he's not being super open with me. While Tai on the other hand seems to be a thorn in the side of Liz, Missy, and Jessica and I'd much rather have them deal with him later.
Jessica told me prior to Tribal that the vote was going to be between Brandon and Eddie. This scares me for a few reasons:
1. It was only the newbies that were targeted.
2. I can really use Brandon and I want to protect him.
There is a strong part of me that wants to throw a challenge to try and save Brandon, if at all possible. Then again, i'm prepared for a three tribe swap. I don't know if i'm "Pukaroa Strong", but I have a lot more inroads with them than I do with Te Poto.
