Episode 08: I'm Far From a Challenge God! - Stranded in Tuamotus
#59019
Final 16! Now that we've culled the herd, it's time to get down to business:

1-There was immunity for sale tonight and you bought it. Why did you spend so many coins, only to then go and win immunity?

2-One third of the cast has been voted out of the game. Now that we're solidly in the mid portion of season 38, what kind of plans do you have to ensure you make it through the next 8 boots?

3-It's game on, and people are here to PLAY. In modern survivor a lot of people play by the "Meat Shield" strategy and keep a few big targets around in order to hide behind them. Would you consider yourself a big target? or are you hiding behind one?

Alternatively, do you not ascribe to gameplay norms like the meatshield strategy?

Anyways that's all I've got for ya. See you tomorrow!

Hello! Before I start this confessional I need to get one thing off of my chest.

Jessica is a fucking crazy person full of paranoia and anxiety. It's no wonder why she went so early in her game. She flips out at the mere mention of her name. No wonder she got blindsided, everyone would have thought she'd blow up their game if they let her in on it. If you can't handle your name coming up without putting a knife to Alexis's throat, I have no idea how you'll make it in the end game.

now, to your questions, Danni.

I did buy the immunity tonight! I did it for three reasons. The first and most important is control. You never have any idea what the future holds, Tai could have ended up immune on Te Poto and we could have lost the challenge. leaving us in a terrible position with voting.

with giving the coins, I get to look both weak via no coins, and I get to learn how much Jessica, Hope, and Alexis are really working with me in how they offered to help me raise money for the immunity idol. Since they were very forward in helping me, I know that at least in our current situation, Hope is more on my side than I originally thought. So that's good information.

I also got to send a signal over to Matt via the immunity idol and I could control his fate in the game for a round. It's a good thing for my relationship with him in the future and he'll always be able to put trust in me over any other person.

I would like to also point out that I was actively not helping at all in the immunity challenge. I had no real preference if we won or lost. I was talking in the chat to look active, but I didn't really participate in any way.

Now that I'm in the midportion of the game, this is when I need to start turning on my game mode. The first third was about building strong relationships. I have positive relationships with everyone but Wardog (who I've never met), Allie, and Tai. Allie is a very fixable person because she's super gamebotty and I can speak to her. Tai has bigger fish to fry other than me. Wardog is a fun unknown that i'll be able to figure out and be protected from with Matt. My bonds with Matt, Aurora, Alexis, Hope, and Jessica are all going to be very important to me in the future. I think it's important to always have people who are watching out for you, they'll let you know when you really need to hustle.

Aurora called me a threat today, she meant it as a compliment...and it IS!

but...

I don't really like the meat shield strategy when it comes to ORGs, if you let one go to far, then you've only fucked yourself over. I prefer using distractions like people in emotional states and making quiet deals with people to watch each other from different alliances. Keeping eyes and ears everywhere is a better way to not get screwed over as the piece of meat or lose the spotlight from the meat.

Another day of survivor, another day of telling Jessica to chill the fuck out.

So what's looking to be a bit fun is that Sherri seems to be getting a bit power hungry on Pukaroa. She, Liz, and Steph will all need to be dealt with sooner rather than later.

really the only two from that tribe I am excited for seeing again is Matt and Reynold. Matt is on my side and Reynold is kind of a doof that'll just blindly follow anyone.
