I knew I had to be here exactly at the right time. These games are make or break at the very start. You need to shine socially because first impressions are what will take you to the end. Let's talk about my tribemates (and Eddie)

in no order, because I don't have the time.

Sherri:
Sherri is a RIOT! some hippy lady who is charming me pretty well. I think that I could work with her, but I don't know if she gets the same vibes from me. I need to feel her out more and try to play to her a bit.

Shamar:
I'm surprised that I clicked with him so quickly, he was the last person I spoke to and he feels really easy to talk to. I think he wants to do well and he is going to make a good person to have around.

Brandon:
Fuck this guy. He's a bit of a creep AND boring. don't do both.

Laura:
I don't click with her at all. Not a huge fan. It really doesn't seem like she's someone i'd want to work with.

Allie:
This woman is smart. and that really scares me. I need to be nice to her, I need to make sure I can get her before she gets me.

Erik:
I feel like he's not going to have anywhere to run soon. He is going to be very useful to me and I need to keep in his good graces. I can see him being the key to me going far.

Hope:
She's fine. just fine. I wish I had more to say about her.

Matt:
I love Matt, we are very similar and we really get each other! I want to go far with him, and I have some trust in him.

Eddie:
I'm not sure how he passed the IQ test to be here. I'm sorry he's gone because I can read him like a book, but i'm also glad I don't have to deal with that for now. I'll deal with that Bi boy later.

Alexis:
She's my favorite person here. We connected over kidney stones and stomach issues! I want to take her and Matt far. To the end if possible. She's funny, smart, and pretty wonderful!

Reynold:
didn't show up. Good for me.

Elizabeth:
She's got game, she's going to try and play pretty close to the chest with us. It's not the best idea. I need to get on her side.

If this is your first time on Stranded - don't worry, we will be posting confessional threads for you each round, as well as a series of prompting questions! These questions will get more and more customized as the game progresses. Feel free to answer these, or not - they're just meant to get the brain juices flowing.

Congratulations on surviving the first night! And no tribal until Sunday...but there is still work to be done.

1. First Impressions - we all have 'em. Who has stood out to you in a good way and in a bad way from the first night of socializing?

2. Opening Twist - were there any intros from the other tribes' dossier that stood out to you? And do you have any plans for your newly-minted tribe member?

3. StrandedCoin - this will be the second season of Stranded to feature StrandedCoin! Have you been thinking about how you might use it to your advantage? Has it been discussed amongst your tribemates?

2. The Opening twist.

I KNEW something was funny about the dossier twist. there were a few people on my tribe who wanted King Kurieg. But the full twist of giving someone a public idol just seemed too easy, I wanted it to go to someone a bit more benign. I was very happy to see Elizabeth come over to our tribe. About Eddie, I was prepared to flirt with him, but he seemed like an idiot and I didn't really plan my time here to be sending feet pics for coins. I'll deal with him later.

Elizabeth though, I love that woman. She's so awesome. There are pros and cons to being a returning player and the biggest con is the fact that I can research you. From her season I know that she has issues with Missy and I believe that she gets along with Jessica. I will need to exploit this as much as I can. I hope that Missy is able to stay for a little while so I can use that rage against Missy with Elizabeth. Hopefully we'd be able to swing things around after that. Elizabeth seems like someone who I can really work with.

My ideal group at the moment is Alexis, Matt, Shamar, Erik, Elizabeth, and Sherri. They are people I think I get on with well. with Matt and I making a core with Shamar and Alexis. But I feel like I will be able to trust Alexis more in the end. I really like her.

3. I would like to put a kind fuck off to the StrandedCoin. I'm sure the hosts worked hard on it, but it's going to cause so many more issues for me than it'll solve. At the moment I don't even want to mess with them and just stay coin neutral. I know there are going to be people who are going to fuck up their games over coins, and I don't want to fall into the same trap. When it comes to the challenges with coin, I'm going to try and stay away from winning them. i'd much rather have people give them to me after they are voted off. It's cleaner that way. Locally sourced coinage.

My goal is the turn the vote onto Brandon, Laura, or Hope. I honestly can't tell you anything about Laura and Brandon seems to be confused on what's happening. My weekend goal is to talk to Erik and really pull him in with me and see if I can make any headway with Reynold because I don't know what his future really looks like here.

My own worst enemy.

So I wasn't sure how I was going to tackle this game. At first I was prepared to make a large alliance chat and just try and steamroll. But then I remembered the most important part about Survivor. It's a social game, you need to play to your group. I think my best choice is to play Pukaroa strong and really sew that in with people like Reynold and Brandon until we get further along. I did NOT plan for it to go this way, but if I keep it "Pukaroa Strong" I'll be able to keep the heat off of me as a type of leader until I need to have a break out in the future. I made an Alliance with Brandon, and i'm not really taking it seriously since he has no one else at the moment. the more connections I have before lines are defined, the better it'll be for me when everything goes to hell. Brandon is just a lost, insecure puppy that I need to make sure I can get a handle on. If he looks up to me, that's a good thing.

I'm trying to make bonds with Elizabeth and Alexis by talking about personal stuff. I think it's really working well. Alexis is a social butterfly and I think the most similar to me in game play.

Right now, my weakest point is Allie. I need to really convince myself to put in the effort with her. She's just so difficult to talk to. She's a smart woman, but there's no light behind her eyes, it's just all gamebot. If I can try and get her to trust me a bit more i'll be able to neutralize her.

Sherri is a character, but i'm not sure if she's a player.

my biggest goals at the moment are to try to focus on Shamar and Allie. I need to bond with them a little bit more.

I think the first target is going to be Laura, she isn't around doing anything, she's such an easy sell.

The Middle School Date.

The Pukaroa tribe is currently dealing with its own Middle School Date issue. Everyone wants to make a move, but they are too scared to actually do it.

"Should I ask her or not? Should I try to hold hands? I don't want to make the first move.!"

At this point, screw it. I'm going to hold Alexis's hand, fingers laced and all!

Go big or go home.

Just a fun update for anyone who may step in here.

I have an alliance with Shamar, Sherri, Elizabeth, Alexis, and Matt that is essentially the consistency of jello. kinda solid, but kinda not. At the moment I think keeping things undefined but unified is an important tool to make that if a swap happens, I can try and reach out to any Pukaroa member for help.

On the inside of that, I have a duo with Matt and a duo with Alexis. I have been more vocal with Matt about our alliance together, but I do feel the same amount of trust with Alexis. At the moment I don't know who i'd pick over the other, but that won't a question I need to ask for a long time.

I'm trying to work AND work with Elizabeth as much as I can. I have studied her previous game and how cool she was with Jessica and Chelsea in their pre-jury podcast and i'm trying to really buff up my connection with Elizabeth. I told her that I worked security at a strip club when I was younger---which isn't true, but if it just so happens to be something we can connect with. I'm all for it! Elizabeth is really the key to destroying Te Poto, I need to weaponize her and her hatred towards Missy to be able to demolish them and come out on top. I am unsure of what Elizabeth would do once Missy is taken out, so I need to use Missy as a carrot that will motivate Elizabeth to move my sled to even deeper in the game.

My relationship with Brandon is an interesting one. I can't tell if he's playing a character or not. But it doesn't matter to me in the end. I'll fake Jesus and church stories all day long if it means he'll follow me. #BlessedFake

to quote Shamar from the Buffett Alliance chat:

"Sooooo.......Erik? Sounds like Erik from the people not in here"

I'm sorry Shamar, is the alliance the people in the alliance or is it everyone who is NOT in the alliance chat?

Fucking hell.

Quick update before I even posted this
I guess Erik named Liz as a target, dammit Erik. I really was trying to save you.

second quick update before I even posted this
I'm currently faking to Allie that I have no idea how to vote, she has instructed me to vote Erik. I'm going to fake it like I followed her lead.

Erik. It shouldn't have been you. I hate this. My Honey Mustard! I didn't think I'd get so emotional over the first damn vote. You are a good guy and someone who I really wanted to work with. I wish you had been around more over the weekend and then you'd never even be a target. I want to be your friend after this and we can watch Nailed It together.

First Tribal Council.

I fucking hated that. I actually cried a bit over it. Erik is so nice, he didn't deserve to be kicked off first. not by a long shot.
