About Last Night
So the way I've been comparing OG Pukaroa and OG Te Poto is like this:
OG Pukaroa is the middle school dance, where all of the kids are sweet and a bit awkward. It's big news when someone FINALLY gets the courage to hold hands. With Elizabeth being the student that was held back and her parents let her watch South Park and she's even smoked a cigarette!
Meanwhile OG Te Poto is the senior prom where everyone is fucking everyone and it's just high drama all of the time. With poor Eddie as the kid who hasn't started puberty because he skipped two grades. So he has no real understanding of what's going on.
But onto the vote last night. ..
the day started out with Laura, with maybe a small possibility of it being Allie. since they were active and working it the pressure fell onto Erik and Hope. I think Erik ended up in the firing squad because he was given such a high profile in the reward challenge, so his absence was noticed a bit more.
shamar was really trying to save the girls the first round, which is SUPER shady to me. Shamar is kind of shady in general.
my favorite part is when things start stirring up as Hope makes an alliance with herself, Shamar, Alexis, Matt, and Liz. So basically leaving out Sherri and I. Matt comes to me right away about it, but for some reason Alexis was holding onto that information for a moment. She eventually told me about it and the fact that they were going to include Sherri on it, but it was the pause from her that was a bit concerning. Ultimately, she did come to me so I was never really worried about that new group
When Alexis fucked up the chats and showed our hands that Erik is going... I felt so horrible for Erik. I genuinely liked him and I was sad when I saw him scramble and panic in a situation that I knew he couldn't get out of. The noose was tightened about an hour before then. I told Erik that I would vote with him if he was able to secure a majority, which wasn't a lie...it's just that I knew he wouldn't be able to.
Erik's vote off was really sad. He had a personality. I wish it wasn't him
The swap happened and I chose Dossier #12, and even put three coins on it. Which turned out to be
Jessica I chose her because she said this in her Dossier:
"My strategy in the game is going to be to surround myself with people I can trust. A solid alliance can do wonders in this game."
and
"I consider myself a very loyal person. I know that it can either hurt my game or help my game but it’s just the way I am."
Loyalty and friendship are my two favorite things in a person in the game. I want to go far with people I like. I'm spending a lot of time with these people I would rather get a lobotomy than spend it with people I hate.
I love my swap, it's almost a perfect situation for me. I have Sherri, Alexis, Matt, Shamar, and Reynold. Shamar really doesn't have anywhere to run right now, which is a good thing. Alexis, Sherri, and Matt are my closest allies. Reynold is sweet and I can easily work with him.
At the moment i'm committed to OG Pukaroa. But i'm not married to most of them. I trust the more than I trust old Te Poto. although I do get good vibes from Stephannie, Tai, and Rocker. Stephannie the most since she was very friendly and open with what happened on the previous tribe. Meanwhile, I was most excited to see Aurora, but she was the most closed off to me about what happened. Which is really fucking stupid on her part because it was going to come out anyway. She should have jumped on the chance to be the first to give public information to me and build a relationship. so if she is going to not want to open up to me, why would I try and extend a hand to her. ESPECIALLY when the majority of our tribe is old Pukaroa.
I like the partner twist and I like Jessica. I know that Matt and Missy are together, Alexis and I haven't really discussed if we are going to say anything, but I do think we eventually will. Alexis just really likes to take her time on these types of choices. I think Jessica is the perfect partner to have because
I FUCKING LOVE the premerge Tanzania boots. They were the only thing I really studied before the game started so Her, Liz, and Chelsea all have a big place in my heart. From the season I also like John and I was impressed with how heartless Dean was to Allison. I do feel like I took a page out of Dean's book when dealing with religion and Brandon.
for now, I want to get to know my new tribe and make sure I build trust with Jessica.
