Oh my gooooooood y'all are crazy springing all that on us! It's always like there's two twists in one just to catch us even more off guard. First it's BAM someone's getting an idol and then BAM they're switching tribes and then BAM we're switching tribes and BAM we're getting partners. You know....bam.
1. This swap went sooooooooooo perfectly oh my god. There's always that fear you'll get swapfucked but I'm super happy with the people who ended up here. We have 5/6 members of the alliance we made + Reynold who I absolutely adore. In my last confessional I said I was worried about him but thankfully people do seem to be liking him more and more. He's not in that main group but I do trust him more than a few of them. Side note, Hope made an alliance with Matt, Shamar, Alexis and Liz and they all promised not to tell me....except Matt told me anyway because he's a king.
I guess that's just something I should be careful of though if anything it just makes me trust Matt a lot more rather than trusting the others less. Like I get it, there's always going to be side deals and if someone approaches you, you can't just say no...but super stoked Matt clued me in. Anyway, Matt's in the same mindset about keeping Reynold around too so I do want to make sure he stays safe here.
The only person I was upset to lose was Liz and dear god I feel bad she's stuck on the other tribe with Missy of all people haha I have heard so many stories and I know they don't have a good history. At least Liz still has that idol and so does Eddie so it's probably going to be a mess over there.
2. The vote last night just came down to activity. Both Erik and Hope were probably around the least and for a while we were having a lot of trouble settling on one. Then Laura's name came up and a bit of Reynold but then Erik really damned himself when he brought up Liz's name for being 'new'. Like.....lol she was new by like a few hours so all of us just took as a final sign to vote him out. I did feel bad because he was super sweet...and Hope did make that alliance without me...but that's how things go. Super gracious exit though, good guy.
3. This is a tricky one because I DO want to make good connections here for further swaps/the merge but I also love all of my OG tribe here. Like I said, he's pretty much all of my old alliance and my pal Reynold so at this point I don't feel like I'd want to vote any of them up. Had I swapped with anyone else from my old tribe (except Liz) then I'd certainly consider it but I don't think I'd want to vote them out here, especially not on this first vote. Maybe things will get crazy and people will turn on each other but we need to at least vote one of the others out first so we can always hold the majority here.
I really am just hope we can win a bit because the people I'm meeting seem super cool so far. I'm of course here with Stephannie who I know a lot about and I know for sure we'd be able to get along, but I don't want to force that. I want it to be natural and for us to come together but if we're just voting out a bunch of their friends then they probably won't trust us long term lol. The only thing I really have to go off is I think Aurora said he didn't connect to Tai as much? So that might be someone to go after that will cause less waves, but we really need to see how this day progresses. Anything could happen at this point.
4. The partner twist is certainly an interesting addition! I don't know much about Steph at all but I'm excited to get to know her. I would like to try and utilize that as much as possible since getting immunity near the end would be super important. Even if there are times we don't agree or don't vote together, I think we can make something work and at least have each other's backs. Stay tuned for that!
