1-Idol clues were sold after the challenge. Did you buy one? What is your plan to deal with potential idols in the game?
Yes! And I overestimated the time and effort I would have on-hand. Well.... in theory I work from home so I could sit and search all day. But I'm tired and prefer chatting when I'm online.
Also trial & error type of stuff is not my favorite activity.... in fact it's the worst. Idk. I should be looking. I should be searching wikis and using the clue. I've basically wasted it thus far because I haven't tried searching at all yet and I'm sure some folks stayed up all night. I shared the clue with Tai though, I'd say he's my closest ally at this point.
Idols... ugh. I mean what can you do? It's all about making the target feel safe. Which on this tribe may be tough because Hannah is the boot if we lose. Well. Nobody has said that necessarily besides Tai but it's the vibe I get. And she is the most likely to find an idol because she has the most experience playing/hosting/etc. And then I feel like it's obvious she would be in danger here? I think she'd have to expect it. So that's worrying.... the fans say she's quieter and I haven't talked with her beyond "well let's hope we win" - so yeah, if she found it and we lose that would be bad because how do you snow someone out of the obvious?
2-How are alliances shaping up on your tribe? Do you feel comfortable with your position? If not, what are you going to do to change it?
I have really good individual bonds - or so I think - with Sherri, Alexis, Reynold, and Michael but nothing concrete with any of them. Like we love each other but there's no "ALLIANCE" just yet. I feel good about my position for what it is. I'm well-liked but in no position to call the shots or sit in any dominant alliance, at least not yet, and that's fine.
It was always my goal here though, coming into this tribe 6-5. To make friends in the new faces. Because there were a lot of stale relationships on Te Poto. My goal here was to be well-liked while allowing "the fans" to get their way on one of Hannah or Aurora. Preferably Hannah because I enjoy Aurora more and we do get along even if it's still a bit awkward following the division of round 1.
That said. There's definitely an unofficial alliance with myself, Tai and Matt at the very least. Just that we all like each other. Matt brought it up and I believe him.
If we do lose a challenge, I'm feeling good. I've heard good things about Rocker, Tai, and Aurora from the fans depending on who I've asked. Alexis said she heard from Tai and Hannah less actually, but I think Tai is more well-liked overall. Plus if we ever need to truly expose the dynamics, we can. All we'd need to do is tell the truth. And why would they not side with us in that situation? We're getting along great and we weren't in the main core on our initial tribe. Win win. But it hasn't come to that yet.... I'm kind of saving it as something to bring up subtly but not too soon.
3-How do you feel you did in the challenge tonight? Who do you think your tribes best competitor is? Who is the worst?
<3
I don't want to be viewed as "threatening" now, but it's the premerge so hopefully it's fine. Little does everyone know, that's probably the only challenge I'll be good at. Lol. To answer the question, I think Alexis was really fast posting the images? But it's too early to say definitively after only one challenge.
Oh and I loved the experience too. When Shamar was slow and the tribe was on the bench like "You got this!!! Let's go Shamar!" Omg... it felt like a real challenge on the show and he was, like, dying in the water or something. Wheezing and crawling/hauling a bag of puzzle pieces. <3 I felt really bad for him but I also laughed. I was surprised we won tbh.
Okay I should be good and focus on work for a bit. I'll post thoughts/etc. throughout the day.
