I said last night in my previous confessional, but.... yay!! I'm very happy, because this is the farthest I've gone in Stranded. I still have my sights set on the long haul, single digits, and the win. But now at the very least, I didn't come back only to do worse, and that's a great feeling.
1. Would you say that you were more of a listener or a talker during the round? Who was doing the most talking and whispering? Who were you relying on?
Alexis did most of the heavy-lifting, I would say. And I knew I needed to rely on her for that vote so I whispered her right away and made it clear I'd vote any of Allie, Aurora, Liz, or Jess. Beyond that, all I could do was solidify my loyalty to swings like Michael, Rocker, and Shamar... basically just saying I'm with them. Because I knew my name was out there too. And I AM willing to work with them, so on my end I was just making my stance clear and telling the truth. It paid off! I was still not necessarily a big influence on the vote, the decision-makers ultimately seemed like Michael and Alexis, but I played as best I could for my position and survived with a result that benefits me and my allies.
2. Were Tai and Allie going good for your game? Why or why not?
Yes, and yes. I love Tai and he was my #1 ally for a while, but that needed to happen. Half the cast was refusing to talk to me, or at least keeping me at an arms length. They trusted him SO little that it was rubbing off on me because I was tight with him. He needed to go to give me a chance of progressing, and integrating into a better position on the tribe. Because people like Alexis and Michael I was always planning on staying loyal to, but they weren't ever going to feel the same with Tai around. Now they should. And I'll be able to go the long haul.
Allie was good too. With her, Liz, Jess, and Aurora I barely talked game ever if at all. So it was a good outcome on that level. But also because she's so good at the challenges.
3. The votes tonight seemed like pretty clear majorities in both cases. Is there a large group that needs to be broken up? Or are things more fluid?
It's very fluid. The first couple merge votes was everyone against me, Sherri, Reynold, Matt, and Tai.... and then this Allie vote it was kind of the opposite, where Elizabeth and Jess were in the minority.
There's something to be said about the group who has voted in the majority all three times. Alexis, Michael, Rocker, Shamar.... maybe Aurora.... we'll have to watch that they don't just triangulate the two sides and watch us go after each other while they sit back. On paper I want someone like Liz gone ASAP... but is that what's happening right now? Hmm... I'll have to be on alert. Not that I want to turn against anyone who just saved me, but we have to be thinking about these things too.
4. Who is the biggest threat to your game right now? One player only, no cheating!
Good question!
I have a few in mind and I'm going back and forth, but probably... Aurora? If she's aligned with Michael/Alexis/etc. too that's a major problem. We never whispered to each other last night but she still voted Allie. If she's playing that middle role, then all of them together have too much power with me/Matt/Sherri on one side and Liz/Jess on the other. I'd want her out so that there's only 4 of them to worry about, and so that it's safe to get rid of Liz once and for all.
I almost answered Hope for this too. She's giving me every indication she has my back... but she's proven to be sneaky. And she's absolutely playing all sides right now as well. But assuming she's still with me, at least for the short term, I wouldn't say she's the biggest threat to my game just yet.
