Episode 14: Thanks to All My Fallen Soldiers! - Stranded in Tuamotus
-- 5th Place - 10th Juror - Voted Out 3-2 --
#62346
I guess I'm asking confessional questions today. Congrats on single digits! For some of you this is a real accomplishment. For others, you're only here because someone wants to be sitting at the end with you. Which category do you fall into? ONLY TIME WILL TELL!
Image

1-Last night Jeff talked about the Scooby Doo reveal, a classic Stranded tribal council question that boils down to "perception is reality" or "If players don't know you're playing hard right now, they wont think so when you claim it at final tribal." Who in the game do you think is currently banking on pulling a Scooby Doo and revealing they were the mastermind all along? Do you think you fall into this category?

2-We're in the single digits! Who left would you consider a big target? Who do you think is a slam dunk to beat at a final tribal? How do you think the other players are ranking you in this question?

3-What is your endgame strategy? Are you planning to keep big targets around? or are you planning on dragging someone useless across the finish line with you?

4-The Jury bench is filling up quickly. Walk me through each juror and how you think they perceive you and your game. Do you think they'd vote for you right now? if not, what could you do to change that before the F3?

Keep up the good work! The finale will be here before you know it!

Okay work was a nightmare, but not an overwhelming nightmare. So I have energy to reply to these after all. If I can manage it, lol. The game has been ridiculous today I'm learning. I was basically off all day aside from "how's it going" types of messages, so lol, I had Hope/Alexis/Matt all freaking out as soon as I came online and now I'm trying to piece it all together.

Oh and I fall into the "Big Threat" category, but if someone called me a goat I wouldn't get mad. I haven't pushed my agenda too much in this merge, but I've been as upfront as I can and adaptable. Plus I just have that aura and general perception of being "threatening" for no particular reason I think.

Maybe Aurora and Shamar. At least for me. They could be gaming hard with other folks, but from my vantage point they like to go with the majority. And hey. That's a valid strategy. And it's endearing for Shamar because that's always been his quirk ever since he dragged his ass in the first challenge (lmfao <3) so you know what? What works for you works for you. Then again, idk, maybe I'm more "open-minded" than most - and I hate that, I know, I sound self-congratulatory. But yeah.

I don't think I fall into this category. My intentions have always been clear... for the most part. But like I said, I've taken a backseat on a lot of merge votes too and haven't been Boss Bitching it necessarily. But I think I'm one of the few who had the privilege/luxury of doing that, because I came into the merge as such a big name. Like Missy was trying to mastermind the game to get rid of me (lol). So I have an "excuse" for being lower-key at times and - as they always say - "perception is reality" and the reality is that bias exists. I'm lucky that, by the nature of everything, I feel I don't have to do as much to be noticed by the jury. Which sounds super conceited and delusional, but I think it's true in a sense. Not to say I'm being a slug or anything, but I'm just justifying that I think I still have a fair shot even if I haven't been screaming at tribals or driving a lot of the votes.

Alexis would and should beat anyone in the end. I think sitting next to Sherri in the end would be a mistake, because she's been more visible in this merge, and found two idols. Then I think everyone else kind of has a similar chance... Shamar maybe has the "goat/aloof" status, but like I said earlier it works for him, so who knows. That said, yeah, I think Aurora needs a "big move" if she were in the end too, and maybe even Matt as much as I love him, he's going to be viewed as "Sherri's Lapdog" even if it's not true - those insinuations have already gone around in the game itself allegedly.

I think I might be ranking higher than I should on people's lists. Like. Touching on what I've been saying, I think my "threat status" is bigger than reality. Yes I've played a good game and yes I'll be able to articulate my strengths, and have gotten myself out of some tough situations in the early merge, but when you stop and think about it people like Michael, Alexis, and Hope have been wielding the most power more consistently. And Sherri would probably outshine me in a FTC situation too.

With ALL of that said? I don't think you can say anyone is an auto-win or auto-lose at F9. I do agree: the FTC itself, like, if you think you're going to convince people to vote for you who weren't leaning that way already... no lol. So you have to give it some thought. But I'm not going to go out of my way to "Vote Out Goats" at this stage either if another move would help my positioning more.

3-What is your endgame strategy? Are you planning to keep big targets around? or are you planning on dragging someone useless across the finish line with you?

I haven't given that enough thought! Maybe I should, idk. But I will say... keeping too many "goats" around is bad. For someone like me I probably benefit from having Alexis, Hope, etc. still around in the end-game as bigger names to get rid of in those final slots.

Reynold - We were really tight, and I felt a friendship with him so I hope so
Tai - Same. But maybe he'll be mad at me for turning on him/letting him go too.
Allie - Eh... probably not. We had some good conversations though on a personal level, but I wouldn't expect her vote because we rarely talked game.
Rocker - No idea!
Elizabeth - Yes, surprisingly, I think there would be a chance. We mutually respected each other and I think she would tip her hat type of thing since we never talked game and I wasn't fake in the merge.
