This is Allie's Final Tribal Council Thread.

All other Jurors should remain in their own threads. Final 3, remember... this is not for you to address each other, but to talk to Allie. In-fighting amongst the Final 3 should be reserved for the Live Final Tribal Council on Sunday.

Allie, you have until Saturday at 8c/9e to post your statements/questions to the Final 3. Remember not to take up too much of their time as they have 10 other jurors to get to. Please no listing or questions requiring novels for answers. You should post all of your statements/questions in your opening post in this thread. There is a live Final Council on Sunday where you will get to address everyone live about the statements they have made as well ask follow-ups.

Michael, we've been on a different tribe ever since day 4. We were not allies, and it felt like you were nothing but a dangerous stranger who kept winning pre-merge immunities and collecting allies without having to go tribal. :eyeroll: The problem I have with you, is I think you skipped EVERY chance you had to talk about any vote with me, including the easiest ones like Tai or Erik. :eyeroll: If you get my vote, that would only be for the game. But even there, in order to win, I believe that you need to deserve the vote of every single jurors that voted for you, and I feel like you completely blew it with me. I have only one vote to cast, and I would like to cast it for someone who actually deserves mine. But who know, maybe the other two will blow it up and you'll get mine, we'll see. My question to you is about Sherri. You never mentionned her at all in your opening, like she was a complete non-factor in your game. Why's that? Where did you rank Sherri in your game? What was your level of loyalty to her throughout the game? Why is she here with you in the final tribal?

Image

Matt, I think the only conversations we've had were social. I don't think we ever talked game except maybe that we would not vote each other, but it's no secret that we were both bullshitting in case we ever needed to work together. I liked our small talks though. Here's my concern : I'm actually disgusted by the fact that you were sketched out by me for literally no reason on day 1 and every single round following that. Really? That's all you had to say about me? What was so threatening? What spiel? Oh my god, I'm meeting 11 new people on the first night? Seriously? I proposed alliances all over the place? With who? I didn't even create any alliance on day one, not even individual ones, you were. Thanks god I didn't, if everybody were comparing notes that much, I would probably have gotten beheaded I guess! To me, you're sounding like a nutcase. These were not my questions by the way, because I think you've said it already, and you can't take it back. Before I ask you my question, lemme give you a little context : Recently, jurors have been coming into ponderosa spreading rumours that you were nasty about other players. So that is my question : Were these rumours real? And if not, why do you think they perceived it this way? What comments do you think they might be referring to? Bring it all to the table, because you'll probably need it. If that's not obvious enough, you entered final tribal council being labeled as the third runner-up. Not a single person here, out of eleven jurors, mentionned that they were rooting for you over the other two.

Sherri, I have been rooting for you for a while now. I think your idol plays showed you didn't really trust anyone but yourself. I think you've played a respectable game. It didn't matter what side people were on, you would always give an effort trying to repair appearances with them, and I really liked that about you. I think you were looking at the big picture here, from day one, and not just going on a power trip or anything. My question is : Between final 7 and final 4, what decisions did you consider 'good' for your game, and why?

Also, I'm really sick and tired of these Erik/Brandon prayers. So if anyone prays for Erik and Brandon one more time again, you're dead to me. You'll earn bonus points if, at some point, you pray to this cow instead.

Hey Allie! Thank you so, so much for the kind words. I know we weren't always on the same side of a lot of our votes so it makes me so happy to hear you've still been rooting for me here. That is, as you say, something that I did try to do with everyone. Even if I wasn't talking game with them or being completely honest I still wanted to check in and see where people were at. That in itself could always lead to some shorter term or even long term partnerships so I tried my best to stay friendly with everyone.

Now as far as good decisions to my game though, I definitely think finally getting Alexis out in 7th was great for my game. Right at the start of the game, The Holy Cow of Unfortunate Timing came to me in a dream.....it said "Sherri, watch out for that Alexis....she's one Dangerous Woman" and I thanked the cow and prayed to the cow and laid out some golden grass as an offering. I was blessed.

Lmao seriously though, I did pick Alexis out as a dangerous player right from the start of the game. And I meant that in the best possible way too in that she was smart, likeable and had such a strong influence on the people around her. I was like damn this girl's going to be a problem for me down the track! And she definitely was since she voted for me on several occasions and was a huge opposition for me in the game. As the real Alexis Jones' book even said...

Image

She was That Girl! The biggest threat and the one to beat. I had been wanting her out for awhile now but with immunities and lots of her allies still in it was difficult. Eventually we got our shot here and it was definitely something I needed to do. I know you could argue that with Alexis gone, my threat status grew even larger, but Alexis was clearly not wanting to work with me through the endgame either. I just wanted to make sure she didn't get too close so she could go on an immunity run to the end! In fact, maybe it's no coincidence that after she died I went on an immunity run of my own!

So yes, that was still good for me. I also think Hope's boot was good for me but I'm going to go into much more detail surrounding Hope's boot in her own question..so please check that out when I do that! Finally, I do also want to touch on the last couple of rounds as well. I always try to find the good amongst the bad so even when things might not go how I expected them to go, I look to see the positives. Steph leaving was a blow for me for sure but she was also a real strong player and going up against her would be tough since I feel she was so likeable.

As for Jessica, well that's a similar thing in terms of her being likeable, but that round was so much more for me. Jessica was the only one in that final four who really reached out and made an effort with me. Of course, part of that was probably to get me onside to save herself, but hey...it worked. Michael or Matt didn't really approach me with strong ideas of the vote which was a little strange, since I was definitely the favourite to win that final immunity challenge and I thought they would need me. Jessica, however, talked things through with me and we went over scenarios and it was really nice. I know we only met at the merge, we didn't always vote together and I'm sure couldn't trust each other 100%, but I still worked hard on building something with her and I genuinely was looking out for her to make sure the vote wasn't going her way. I think if any good came out of that final vote is that I was happy to show that I was being real with her, that I could be loyal and true and do what I said I would. Even if she ultimately lost the firemaking, I'm happy I could do that for her.

Thank you, Allie!

Hi Allie, thanks for your note! I'll address your comments below.

So going back to night 1 of the game, I really enjoyed our first conversation about video games, and zombie shows, and everything else. I do remember you asked me how I felt about the tribe so far an hour or so into the conversation. I was like this is awesome, Allie and I are jiving and I like her a lot! Then I found out from Michael and others that you went around to everyone on the tribe and asked that. Which was totally fine (and like I mentioned in my OS, def a double standard on how you were treated) but I think people interpreted that benign question of 'how are you liking the tribe?' to be you overplaying. Whether true or not, that was the perception, as so many things have gone this game. That's why you were left out of the Buffet alliance chat imo.

My jury management has clearly been a weakness. I'm sorry if I've offended you with any of my comments. Let me write down below what I think I said negatively about each person. These are the ground truth comments to me. Anything else probably a rumor!

Reynold: I don't remember saying anything negative about Reynold and even stuck up for him when people said he was weird post-game for smoking a lot.

Tai: I probably said he was being sketchy at merge to people who said he was being sketchy, but that's it from what I remember.

Allie: I probably said I was threatened of you and found you sketchy. My parchment for you said I was ready to vote for you since Day 1.

Rocker: I said he was boring and we didn't connect (this is definitely 2-sided!!). He would go 2-3 days without messaging me and sent me 10 lines of text during the merge phase. I take ownership for this too but it was no secret we weren't best pals. My parchment for him said he cured my insomnia.

Liz: I said she was a terror when she didn't get her way. My parchment for her said she had a loud mouth and bad reads.

Aurora: I don't actually remember saying anything negative about Aurora except one comment on a parchment at merge that she was a 'gamebot'. At the time I had connected with Aurora the least, as well as Rocker, and so that's why I said that because I perceived her that way. As the game went on I actually really really enjoyed my conversations with Aurora and felt really really good about aligning with her and Michael for f3. That all went down the drain the round she went for Michael and I don't think she's a gamebot now obviously.

Shamar: I said he was playing the game like Vecepia and it annoyed me.

Alexis: I said she was the princess of the tribe and everyone was just gonna let her win.

Hope: Sherri and I would joke that Hurricane Hope is back at it whenever she was stirring stuff up. I didn't get to vote that round because Hope stole my vote but my parchment basically said the same thing.

Stephannie: I never talked badly about Stephannie from what I remember.

Jessica: I probably said at one point that she was up Sherri's cooch and it would be hard to navigate the end game with her just being with Sherri. Which ironic lmao.

General comments: I definitely probably also made comments like omg everyone is being dumb right now and omg I hate everyone and everything. Those were in-the-moment game conversations in the heat of being competitive. I never tried to be malicious about someone's character personally, just how I viewed their player activities. I'm a fan of Reddit and Reddit roasts and so anything I said should probably be viewed in that context. However I understand not everyone has the same lens and so I obviously crossed the line and hurt people and once again I'm really sorry. Along with the fanfic Sherri mentioned in another thread about me and her being newscasters, we also had a fanfic about the Stranded neighborhood. We both made comments like time to water the garden with Michael or time to open the jewelry shop for Sherri's necklaces. I made comments like I'm ready to do backrubs and paint toenails with Hope to get her vote, and Sherri made comments like I'll be her stylist and give her a new haircut!

Hope your book writing/cover and recipes are going well. Talk later.

You've actually said : I've been waiting to do this since day one and not I was ready to vote for you since day 1 I think it's a sketchy edit lol.

But glad this is all game related.

Anyways, thank you for the answers, Matt (and also Sherri). I'll be following.

I apologize for taking so long to respond to you Allie, I’ve just been thinking about what I wanted to say to you for a day now because you make a lot of good points that I think I need to address with you.

Hello Allie,
Nice to meet you I suppose. It’s obviously true, we were never allies and even in the short time that we spent together, we didn’t communicate as often as I think either of us really wanted to. I would like to take a short moment to respond to the first portion and say that prior to the night you went home, on the double tribal council and we thought it’d be an obvious Tai vote, I did try to start a relationship with you that day and I did try to open up to you talking about sex, relationships, and cats. I mistakenly believed that we’d have more time to get to know each other and possibly test the waters with working together. But due to the double tribal, we never got the chance. I guess it’s impossible to know what that timeline could have been. I apologize that we weren’t able to connect any sooner, but I do want you to know that I was going to try and talk to you and build on our relationship if there wasn’t a double tribal that night.

To the meat of your question, while I’ve always really liked Sherri and we got along very well, in fact Sherri and I started as fairly moderate to strong allies at the start of the game including going into the first swap. After we swapped apart and went through our two experiences on the final swapped tribes, coming back together at the merge Sherri seemed very different. I jokingly once said that all of the people coming from Pukaroa 3.0 seemed like they were coming back with some PTSD. To continue, I had very little loyalty to Sherri during most of the merge and I’d say excluding the Tai (and your) vote, and the times she was immune I had thrown her name out as a decoy to be voted out before doing whatever it is I was trying to do that round. Sherri never factored in my game much because whenever we’d talk, neither of us could ever seem to break the ice and really talk about game…at least until VERY late game. So I always saw Sherri as someone who was fairly inflexible about officially working with me as an ally, but was still intelligent to follow any plan that made sense for her to go with. I was also very aware that she was strategically very deeply involved with Stephannie and I feared that if I ever tried to ever officially work with them with an actual deal, it’d tie me down as third or fourth in their alliance, which meant I would have been an easy sacrifice to them in the late game. Instead I ended up often working parallel to Stephannie and Sherri because my goals would often align with their goals. The Tai vote, Liz vote, Shamar vote being examples of this and the Hope vote being much more explicit with how closely we were going to be working together for that round. When it comes to my connection with Sherri, we did have a personal mantra that we’d use together, which was our ‘Hibiscus Energy’ but I had a better connection with Stephannie and if the option was my own I’d choose to work with Stephannie over Sherri.

Blessed be The Cow, may we all drop all previous false gods ;-)
