Did you all just think you were here to compete in challenges, vote each other out, and not worry about money?
Think again. Stranded in Tuamotos has a whole other layer of duplicity in the game: StrandedCoin!
By now, you have all noticed that you already have 20 of these fabulous StrandedCoin in your account. Congrats. Those are free. The rest won’t be. Get ready to work, if you want to get paid. Or maybe you’ll stumble upon a coin or two in your walks along the beach. Who really knows where they might be…
What is this currency for? Don’t worry, you’ll find out soon enough.
However, before we let you play with your money, we want to go over a couple of ground rules:
• Just like with sending messages, no screenshots. Feel free to talk about how rich or how poor you are – you can even go into specifics. But you may never send a screenshot to show other players your StrandedCoin or transfer history. Don’t test this.
• When a player is voted out, that player will distribute all of their remaining coins to any number of any remaining players. You don’t need to share a tribe. You can give 1 coin to 20 players, 20 coins to one, or any combination in between.
• During the game, you can transfer your StrandedCoin to any players on your current tribe. Feel free to wheel and deal to your heart’s content. However, you might notice that the instructions for transfers specifically say a “donation”. If you transfer coins to another player, that transfer is final. So be careful, or you might find yourself conned.
To properly transfer your StrandedCoin to other players, hit the big coin icon in the top right of your screen, navigate to the "Transfer" tab and "find the member" you'd like to transfer coins to.
