Alright, It's time for me to regale you all with a story that comes once every season. It harkens back to our first Partner's season, Stranded in Peru, season 3, where icon and winner, Courtney Yates, first coined the "Scooby-Doo Reveal"

In Scooby-Doo, at the end of every episode is a scene where they rip the mask off the monster and it turns out to be someone else the whole time in a costume.

The Scooby-Doo Reveal in Stranded is waiting until the very end of the game and assuming you can explain your way to the win after playing under the radar or invisibly. See... everyone thinks they are the winner in their own games, because you're the one experiencing your strategy first hand. However, the jury doesn't see that... they only see tangible moves and relationships you've made with them.

Perception is reality, and Scooby-Doo Reveals rarely work in the final 3.

Sherri, are there players here banking on a Scooby-Doo Reveal and basically laying low and doing fuck-all assuming they can explain their way into the win at the end?

This sounds like a fluff answer, but we're getting to Final 9 tomorrow! With each passing round, our individual votes become more powerful. So there can't be anyone you're not threatened by in some way in a game like this. Regardless of whether or not someone is good at challenges, a vote is a vote and if it can be lodged against you then that player is a threat!

Oh wow, I get a whole story! Definitely sounds like a horror tale in the Stranded universe, for sure. I think if there are players like that then they don't even realize it's happening. Everyone is trying to play their own game and make the moves that are best for them, but as you say, perception is reality. I'm sure there are some players who need to take bigger strides but we are still early in the merge so there's lots of game left to play.
